Manual Coffee Filter

I have a GE potscrubber dishwasher. Does anyone know where the filter is?
I would like to know if anyone knows of a filter in a GE potscrubber and where to find it. Little particles of food or coffee grounds are being left on the dishes sometimes. I am sure that there is a filter somewhere. We bought this mobile home and the dishwasher is in it. We have no manual or anything. Does anyone know where the filter is? Thank you
thank you, Paul I found it. As far as the little doohickey on the sink I don’t have one. You are a lifesaver. hip hip hooray, Paul thanks, Carole
I have a GE Monogram and the filter inlet is behind the main arm on the bottom inside of the unit. I think you have to take off a couple of screws to get the access plate off. You can then scrape the inside of it or use a shop vac to clear it out.
You might also check your air gap (that little vent doohickey on the sink that makes a gurgling sound when the dishwasher is draining). This is where the water is discharged from the unit, through a few inches of air, and down into the drain pipes. This prevents possible back flushing of your sewer pipes into the dishwasher (for obvious reasons).
I was fixing up an apartment to rent it out last year and installed a new dishwasher. The old one was, well, pretty old and didn’t clean anything well (lots of debris left on dishes and stuff). When I installed a new one, I noticed that it didn’t drain completely. So, I checked the nozzle in the discharge line in the air gap. Sure enough, it was almost completely stopped up with old dish washing detergent.
So, I poked it through with a small screwdriver to clean out the outlet and ran the dishwasher again. This time it blasted out all the gunk and emptied completely. And, I’m sure it was the old dishwasher not completely draining the water and food particles that caused the unit to not clean out particulate debris correctly.
