Kuerig Coffee Maker
Is there a way to tell my mother in law this, or just let it pass?
Three years ago, my mother in law sent us a wonderful Kuerig coffee maker. My husband loves it. I don’t drink coffee. For every gift-giving occasion, now she sends me cases of K-cups. My husband loves them, me….not so much. I loved the flannel nighties that I used to get for my birthday. Also, she sends us a beautiful spiral sliced ham every Thanksgiving and for Christmas too. I hate ham, and my husband isn’t so keen on it either. We donate the hams every year to the local food shelf. I guess my question is…..can I tell my mother in law that I don’t drink coffee, and we hate ham? I think too much time has gone by.
You can always say something like, ” remeber those flannel nighties you used to give me for my birthday? They are starting to get a little worn, and I’d like to get some new ones. I just love them! Where did you find them?” Maybe she’ll take that as a hint, and start getting them for you again. As for the coffee, your husband likes it so, why not just take them? And donating the ham is a good thing, so I wouldn’t say anything.
