What’s the best way to contain costs at the Rehearsal Dinner without being CHEAP?
We are having a rehearsal dinner for about 45 to 50 people. It will be held at a pizza and pasta restaurant. We’ll probably do an assortment of pizza’s and salad bar. I’m not sure if we’ll do any pasta. Of course we’ll have soda’s, coffee and tea, but I’m not sure how to handle beer and wine because I’m afraid that we’ll end up with a HUGE bill. I’m also concerned about drinking and driving. We are on a tight budget, but I want people to enjoy. Would it be tacky to provide a coupon for a glass of wine or beer and then if people want more they can get it from the bar? Do you have any other ideas for ways to contain the costs?
BTW … I’m the mother of the groom … but we are still on a tight budget. : )
At my rehersal dinner, and any that I have been to. They have all been cash bar. The rehersal dinner isn’t the time to get plasterd, you don’t want a bunch of hung over people do you? Especially on your wedding day. I would just not include alchol at all.. If people want it then they will buy it…. right? Good Luck hun!!!!
