You Can Use Starbucks to Conduct Business
Many people frequent their local Starbucks coffee shop for the purpose of meeting with clients, conducting business meetings, or just taking a break throughout the workday. Starbucks just introduced unlimited free WiFi for all patrons, which makes it an even more popular choice for local business people. Free Internet access is available at over 11,000 Starbucks locations, so more business employees are starting to use Starbucks for their office purposes.
However, if you’re interested in making your local Starbucks a second office, you should always visit the same location. This will make it simple for your business contacts to locate you if they need to meet. In the same manner, it is also important to learn the names of all of the baristas that are helping with you, including making conversation with them. This will build lasting relationships so that you feel more comfortable at your Starbucks office. In the same way, share your business news and updates with the baristas so that they have a greater understanding of why you are there and what your business is all about.
That being said, don’t be a freeloader! If you spend several hours a day conducting business at Starbucks, make sure to make a purchase at least three times a day. When you do buy something, make sure that you tip well at a minimum of $10 per day so that the employees don’t see you as a nuisance. As you begin to get comfortable in your Starbucks office, try to keep your belongings to yourself. It is essential not to spread out over too much space because it could appear rude to other customers.
To make your experience even more private, consider wearing noise blocking headphones, which will cut out all conversation and background noise. It is also important to be equally polite to other customers and workers in Starbucks by turning your cell phone on vibrate and stepping out of the store for any conversations that you need to make. If you do have a meeting at your Starbucks office, make sure that the number of people that you are meeting with is fewer than four so that you can all sit at a single table.
There is no problem with working at Starbucks, especially since they offer customers the convenience of unlimited WiFi. However, there are rules of conduct to follow so that you have the best experience, are kind to all of the baristas, and can encourage a healthy atmosphere for everyone else working at Starbucks. As a rule of thumb, consider the atmosphere of Starbucks to be like a library where it is important to be quiet, respectful, and keep to yourself. This will give you the best experience in working away from home, and you get to enjoy a delicious cup of Joe anytime you like to boot!

Rubber Soul (Remastered) $9.84 Rank ‘em how you like, Rubber Soul is an undeniable pivot point in the Fab Four’s varied discography no matter where, or how, you first heard it. The album was softened up in its original 12-song American edition to jibe with the Dylan/Byrds folk-rock sound, as well as squeeze money from the Parlophone catalog. The 14-song U.K. edition–the version now available on compact disc–is a different, m… |

August & Everything After $4.90 It’s amazing the difference a year makes. Upon its release, August and Everything After sounded remarkably fresh, a welcome change from the crunch and screech of grunge. Blending the vocal athleticism of Van Morrison with the moody rock of The Band, the Counting Crows turned on a whole legion of fans turned off by modern rock. But what sounded fresh soon became stale as dozens of bands flocked to … |

The Big Easy $4.39 An atmospheric and sexy crime caper, this stars Dennis Quaid as a New Orleans police detective. He’s a smooth talker who butts heads with the new assistant district attorney, Ellen Barkin. She’s rigid and plays by the rules; he is mildly corrupt. They soon find themselves romantically entwined, and a bit chagrined. Director Jim McBride (Great Balls of Fire) was in top form with this 1987 sizzler… |
